This was my first Zhumell spotting scope purchase, and thus far I'm pretty impressed. The first time I pointed this baby at a 3/4 moon on a clear evening in late June I was fairly blown away. The craters and ridges of earth's satellite seemed to leap out of the night sky in crisp detail. It made me wish I had a decent digital camera to snap some pics with, but unfortunately my camera doesn't support remote capture. After a trip to the local camera store I discovered that only a handful of digital SLR cameras actually support it, and I wasn't real excited about spending $700 on another camera. I did purchase the digital camera adapter out of optimism, but for now I can't use it effectively. Of course I can hook my camera - a 7mp Nikon - up to it, but if I snap a picture the spotting scope will still be shaking from the contact, rendering any pictures too fuzzy to be enjoyable.
Here's a picture I snapped of the scope and accessories right out of the box.
